Hotrod Tour Berlin: Start am RAW Gelände
1

RAW Gelände

The RAW grounds in Friedrichshain are gritty, colorful, and quintessentially Berlin. Amidst old brick halls, street art, food spots, bars, and clubs, you can feel pure creative energy. By day, it’s a photography hotspot and cultural hub; by night, a nightlife hotspot. This is where we kick off our Hotrod Tour—at the third gate entrance, right next to the Schalander Beer Garden. Please arrive 20 minutes early—after that, Berlin awaits you.

2

Modersohnbrücke

Right from the start, the Modersohn Bridge offers a perfect Berlin moment. As you roll across it, the view opens up over the S-Bahn tracks—a true highlight, especially at sunset. People sit along the railings, taking photos and soaking up the urban vibe. Raw, romantic, and laid-back—it is the perfect kickoff for our Hotrod tour through Friedrichshain with a view.

3

East Side Gallery

The East Side Gallery is one of the tour’s true “wow moments”: over a kilometer of wall, color, history, and street art. Here, the hot rods can pick up a little speed on the straight stretch, while visitors look on in awe and snap photos. The route passes the Oberbaum Bridge, the U-Bahn, and the Uber Arena—an iconic Berlin mix that you simply must experience again on foot after the tour, at your own leisure.

4

Strausberger Platz

At Strausberger Platz, the tour suddenly feels like a retro movie set. Behind the wheel of your mini hot rod, you roll through a slice of living history—navigating between monumental GDR architecture, wide boulevards, and iconic towers. Karl-Marx-Allee was once a showcase boulevard of the socialist era; today, it is a blend of “Eastern Bloc chic,” a photogenic backdrop, and an adrenaline-fueled racetrack all at once—loud, grand, and unforgettable.

5

Alexanderplatz

Alexanderplatz is loud, colorful, chaotic, and absolutely iconic. Cruising right through the middle in a hot rod, even heavy traffic feels like a show—people wave, film, and take photos. Towering above it all stands the TV Tower at 365 meters, welcoming you as Berlin’s number one landmark. Here, you can feel the energy of the big city, the history of the GDR, and the authentic vibe of Mitte—all packed into a single compact space.

6

Hackescher Markt

Via Münzstraße, you head toward Hackescher Markt—Berlin’s unofficial hot rod catwalk. The 30 km/h speed limit gives everyone plenty of time to marvel, film, and take photos. Amidst stylish shops, coffee-to-go spots, street style, and the creative scene, your sputtering little speedster makes you the absolute center of attention. In short: You’re not just cruising through Berlin—you become part of the show, right in the heart of Mitte.

7

Reichstag / Bundestag

The Reichstag is an essential part of any Berlin experience. Few places combine history, politics, and the true capital-city vibe so powerfully: the Imperial Era, the Weimar Republic, the 1933 fire, reunification, and today—the Bundestag. Set against the backdrop of Norman Foster’s glass dome, your hotrod becomes a rolling highlight. Here, history doesn’t just whiz by—you drive right through it, experiencing pure Berlin. Right in the thick of it.

8

Haus der Kulturen der Welt

At the Haus der Kulturen der Welt—the famous “Pregnant Oyster”—we take a short break, traffic permitting. It’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, snap some photos, and catch your breath. The sweeping architecture, the Spree River, and the Tiergarten behind you provide the ideal backdrop for group photos and quick social media stories. Afterward, the engines roar back to life—Berlin awaits.

9

Brandenburger Tor

The Brandenburg Gate is the goosebump moment of the tour. Rolling along in the hot rod convoy, you draw ever closer to Berlin’s most famous landmark, while people stop, wave, and whip out their phones. The monument, the history, the sandstone pillars, and the mini-speedsters create a truly unique contrast. Don’t forget to smile—this is where the photos are taken that you’ll want to show everyone later.

10

Potsdamer Platz

At Potsdamer Platz, things get urban, dynamic, and—at times—chaotically busy. Amidst the business crowds, tourists, cinemas, high-rises, and endless traffic lights, Berlin reveals its modern side. Afterward, we turn off into quieter streets; the traffic eases up, and the hotrod can breathe freely once again. It’s a perfect blend of big-city bustle, architecture, and a laid-back cruising vibe—right through the heart of Berlin.

11

Gendarmenmarkt

Gendarmenmarkt. Here awaits a grand cinematic spectacle worthy of the capital: the French Cathedral, the German Cathedral, and the Concert House form an impressive backdrop. Driving right past them in a hot rod combines elegance, history, and sheer showmanship—a majestic contrast to the pint-sized speedster right in the heart of Berlin.

12

Checkpoint Charlie

If time and traffic cooperate, we’ll make it to Checkpoint Charlie and then head back to the RAW grounds.
