Security Deposit
As a general rule, a security deposit is required to cover any self-inflicted damage to the vehicle—for instance, due to inattention, failure to observe traffic regulations, or the use of a mobile phone while driving.
- Standard Security Deposit: €1,500
- The deposit may be paid on-site via credit card, debit card, or cash.
- If no damage occurs, your deposit will be refunded immediately.
Reducing the Security Deposit / Liability
Prior to the start of the tour, you have the option to reduce your liability limit to €500 by making a one-time payment of €20.
In the event of damage, a maximum of €500 will be charged, regardless of the actual cost of the repairs.
A Mini-Hotrod is valued at over €20,000.
If the damage amounts to €500, €1,000 of your deposit will be refunded.
If the damage amounts to, for example, €3,000, a maximum of €1,500 will be charged.
In cases of intentional disregard for traffic regulations or instructions, the reduced liability limit becomes void.
In such instances, the full cost of the damage may be charged.
Examples:
Overtaking the group
Aggressive driving behavior
Excessive speed
Security Deposit for Groups
Groups are required to provide a security deposit covering only two vehicles: €3,000 (2 × €1,500).
This applies regardless of whether the group consists of 2 or 12 drivers.
In the event of damage, this group deposit applies to all vehicles within the group.
If the reduced liability option is selected, a deposit of €1,000 (2 × €500) is required.
To qualify for this, all participants must individually make the one-time payment of €20. If individual participants do not wish to be included in a group deposit, they will be treated separately and must provide their own security deposit of €1,500.
